The aim of the Alison White Dancers is to refine and polish students for a professional career in dance. The group provides an exciting challenge for the students to perform and gain experience on a semi professional level.
The group helps to develop the dancers’ personality, performance skills, and the ability to absorb and memorise choreography. Within the group different styles are incorporated: jazz, ballet, tap and contemporary. Singing and drama are also encouraged to develop the dancers’ skills in commercial dance.
The group was established in 1981 and performs regularly in many top hotels, theatre and stage productions, and on television. The challenge of learning to be part of a creative team on a professional stage is an essential part of the students’ training.
